PRESIDENT OF LAKEWOOD THEATRE

MATTHEW BOGEN

(President) has served on the Lakewood Board since 2020 and as President since the beginning of 2024. He has acted in over three dozen shows, directed a dozen others, and designed or worked backstage on nearly two dozen more. He has served as Vice President of Stage 1 (Newark CA), on the play selection committees of Brewster Theatre Company (Brewster NY) and Antrim Playhouse (Suffern NY), and as Tower Captain (i.e., President) of the Melrose Guild of Change Ringers (Brewster NY). Favorite shows he’s done include MACBETH (Director, LTC), JULIUS CAESAR (Caesar, Bravo Boro), 1000 AIRPLANES ON THE ROOF (M, Knox College Studio Theatre, Galesburg IL), GUYS AND DOLLS (Benny, Prairie Players, Galesburg IL), and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (follow spot op, Elmwood Playhouse, Nyack NY). Bucket list roles include Henry in LION IN WINTER, the Stage Manager in OUR TOWN, Sweeney Todd, and the First Gravedigger in HAMLET. His theatrical life goal is to participate in a production of each of Shakespeare’s plays.

Raven Arbuckle

Raven Arbuckle (they/them) first started at Lakewood by being cast as Mr. Tumnus in THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE back in 2020, which they won a Lakie award for Best Supporting Actor. They have since directed 2 shows, co-directed one, co-chaired the marketing committee, acted in multiple shows (often at the same time), and now they are the Vice President of the Board of Directors. They are thrilled to be elected into this position, and hope they can provide this theatre with real positive change in the upcoming seasons.
